The perinatal period covers pregnancy and up to 3 years after birth. This can be one of the most difficult times in a mother’s life. We often don’t even realize or are in denial that something is wrong. You may be thinking that you are just a bad mom or not cut out to be a parent. You may be obsessively checking on your baby or worrying constantly about their health. My personal experience with a PMAD (perinatal mood and anxiety disorder) is what drew me to this work. I use DBT, CBT, and mindfulness skills to help mothers find themselves again. I will walk with you on this journey to a more holistic, healthier, and happier mother.
